History

With the first edition of KUNSTLABOR in the former headquarters of Tengelmann, MUCA began a spectacular exhibition series that breathes new life into empty buildings with exciting histories.

Hidden behind the facade of the building, 50 artists worked on spatial installations over several months before the project presented itself to the public and invited visitors on a voyage of discovery through the artists’ world of thought.

After three and a half months, 30,000 visitors and an enormous media response, we decided to continue the project.
